Abstract English

Kuwait projects focus on reaching the goal of supplying 15% of electricity demand from renewable energy sources by 2035. In this project, we propose a novel demonstration of a cooling system in water tanks enhanced by solar cells. The system will be made by developed pipelines and nanoparticles. The broader goals of this project are to facilitate the integration of energy saving in novel appliances and systems, opening the door to ubiquitous renewable energy. The technology of solar cells and utilizing nanoparticles inside pipelines to cool the water tank could enhance the reduction of the electricity usage in buildings, cars, and livestock. We will also investigate low-cost, high throughput, and high-efficiency systems to enhance the performance of the system. Different techniques will be obtained to determine the thermal and electrical characterizations of the custom pipelines and the effect of utilizing nanoparticles. This proposal addressed several important points, including appropriate solar PV system design, energy generation estimation, properties of the pipelines and the nanoparticles and home system implementation. The expected cost for this project is KD195,500, and the project is to be completed in two years.
