The effect of the growth in Non-Bank Financial Institutions on the Commercial Banking sector in GCC countries.

الهدف من البحث هو تحليل وتشخيص دقيق لحجم ظاهرة اتساع نطاق ومجال وأصول المؤسسات المالية غير البنكية وكفاءة إداراتها وعلاقتها مع البنوك التجارية في اقتصاديات دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي بشكل عام وكل دولة على حدة بشكل خاص. كما ستتوسع أهداف البحث لتشمل آثار هذه الظاهرة على كافة المتغيرات الاقتصادية والمالية في اقتصاديات دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والتنبؤ المستقبلي لها.

The Non-Bank Financial Institutes (NBFI) have expanded fast in the State of Kuwait during the past few years. The expansion has some direct and indirect effects on the Kuwaiti commercial banking system. The project tries to analyze the structure and performaof NBFI in the State and assess its impact on the local commercial banking system. The findings are expected to help the decision-makers in achieving an optimal mix between domestic and foreign investment by both the commercial basis and the NBFI.
