Risk Analysis for Small Vessels in Kuwait's Marine Environment

يهدف المقترح الى دراسة الأخطار المحتملة لأمواج الريح المعاكس والتي قد تؤذي وتضر القوارب في المياه الإقليمية الكويتية، بالإضافة الى توفير المعلومات للجهات المعنية ان كانت عالمية (دولية) ام محلية. وستوفر نتائج الدراسة أساسا منطقيا لوضع وتنظيم أسعار التأمين.

It is proposed that the risk associated with the recreational and commercial boats of various sizes typically encountered in Kuwait's territorial waters under adverse wind-wave conditions should be studied. The results of such a study would provide a rational basis for setting and regulating insurance rates. They would also be useful for establishing standards and regulations for navigational safety in recreational and commercial boating. The main objective of the study is to provide scientific information on the risks and probabilities of vessel accidents caused by high waves within Kuwait's territorial waters.
